Kyoto   (HIT F11 for full-screen view)

... is a lot bigger than I had thought, being the 9th largest city in Japan with 1,500,000 inhabitants. It is not only the ancient imperial capital of Japan but a major industrial, technological and world heritage cultural centre.
famous for: - TEMPLES, and being the birthplace of Nintendo among many other things
- being replaced as the second atomic-bomb target by Nagasaki (see City)
shrines and temples: - You can visit exactly one new temple or shrine in Kyoto each day for 4   years and never step into the same courtyard twice.
- entrance to most is free except for some interior displays
start visit in ... in the order of the menu right!
