Over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday 3-4 December there was a German-style "Weihnachtsfest" held in the main square of Center Kita, where the DSTY had its own stand.

This was organised by the Krummel and Schill families, with DSTY teachers assisting at the coal face.

The event was jolly good fun, with MANY friendly visitors of various nationalities. Apart from the Gluhwein we had burgers, sausages, beer, Brezel and "Kinderpunch". EVERYTHING was sold out by 18:00 on Sunday save a few gallons of the home-made "Gluhwein" made in the Krummel's kitchen, which tasted every bit as good as that we know and love in Germany.

Enormous thanks are due to the organisers, who raised a tidy sum for the school funds as well as putting on a good show for the local community.

Here are just a few photos, as I was too busy serving Gluhwein to take too many!
