Hiroshima & Nagasaki

We visited Hiroshima and Nagasaki in June 2019. Both are today beautiful, dynamic, thriving and exciting cities - AND of course a symbol and reminder of the insanity of war and the suffering it causes.

The world changed forever at 8:15 a.m. on 6 August 1945, but mass-destruction and killing was nothing new - just more efficient from that day on.

This site is primarily a PHOTOGRAPHIC record of our visit.

I took most of the photos, but have added a few from the internet.
